18 May 2024 sermon – God has more in store for you

Audio sermon

Dear beloved,

God’s banquet is ready and he says – Come and dine.

Even though there are obstacles we prevail in victory. We are here to be strengthened and renewed by the Word of God.

Those who overcome are the people who are resilient – who press in and press forward. “And from the time of John Baptist until now, the Kingdom of God suffers violence. And the violent take it by force.

Today’s word from God is – God has more in store for you

1 Corinthians 2:9-12 (TPT)

9This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers.
10But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit.  Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things.
11After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit, the Spirit of God.
12For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us.
God says – My people, that kind of grace is lavished upon you
Matthew 14:19
19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.
God breaks you from inside to make you what he wants to become
2 Corinthians 12:7-10
or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Meditate on Ruth’s story – she moved forward and didnt give up
She didnt turn back like Oprah or was like Noami ruminating her loss. She set to work and started gleaning and God opened doors for her to be part of lineage of Christ
God says his grace is sufficient.  So set in motion – press in and press forward.
Pray God- unveil me everything by  the power of Holy Spirit.
